Bultaco bikes were everywhere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand

The famous « Vieilles Tiges » classic race took place this week-end in Aurel, in the south of France. Organised for 29 years by father and son Claude and Charles Coutard, both former top trial riders, the event is a hit each year among the classic fans. This year was no different, with 310 riders commited to ride the event. Despite torrential rains on friday, causing flooding in all the Drôme region where the race takes place, riders were welcomed by great old school sections all along the 35 miles loop of technical trails and scenic point of view. Big names like Vesterinen, Claude Peugeot (of the Peugeot car family) or Franck Lucas (famous French Bultaco importer) attended the event to celebrate the 50^th birthday of the legendary Spanish machines. A big party was held on saturday evening, with archives movies, old school bench racing and plenty of « camaraderie ». On sunday, sun was shining in the sky, drying the soil to offer perfect conditions, making this 29^th edition a huge success once again. Next year 30^th anniversary is already planned, and it should be epic. Be there !
