Graham Jarvis, the mud master

Round six of this year’s British championship would see the riders at the Hooks Wood venue in Surrey. Thames MCC put on twelve spectacular sections to be covered three times. Reigning champion Graham Jarvis on the four-stroke Sherco was in his element ion in the very difficult muddy conditions as he reduced the point’s advantage to Michael Brown. He managed to keep his lap scores under thirty for the three laps and only Alexz Wigg could match this as he took the Montesa round for an opening lap of twenty nine. In the very competitive Expert class young Jack Challoner had the upper hand on reigning champion Baker who takes a nice point’s cushion to take to the final round on the Scorpa. The younger riders in the youth class had a hard day on the little 125cc machines with new A class champion Ben Morphett taking the win on the Gas Gas.
