JAMES DABILL, No.1 JSTGG rider has just won the 6th round of the 2010 British Trials Championship.

The Yeadon and Guiseley club organised a superb event at the ‘Brimham Rocks’ venue near Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The sections were spot on for most but slightly easy for the very top boys making for a nervy event.

Dibs prefers it hard where he seems to relax more. Easy events make him nervous but I have to say he really impressed me yesterday with his cool attitude and focus. There was no ‘showboating’, he just got on with the job in hand. He took the lead on the first lap with 4 marks lost. His second lap was going equally as well until section 7 which was the hardest. A really tricky jump onto some really slippy rocks. Dibs jumped and landed short which wasn’t a problem because he could use a big dab to get back online. One more inch was ‘needed’ advised his minder Jack Lee but Dibs felt happy, set off and slid off for an instant ‘5’. Dibs knew instantly that Jack was right and nothing needed to be said. What dibs did next impressed me….he totally shut the ‘5’ out of his head, focused, and leveled the very next section for an easy clean. He then finished the lap in a confident mood. So, the bad ‘5’ didn’t bother him…head was firmly ‘on’

Then with a 10 mark lead going into the last lap, Dibs relaxed and won with ease, He was very mature on section 11 which was possible to clean but dodgy…He went for a deliberate ‘dab’ each lap which was mature riding from the Dibsta.

Shaun Morris JSTGG had a bad day in 5th. He did however recover later on and had a really good last lap of 13.

Ross Danby JSTGG got the better of his Team mate Sam Haslam and finished 6th with Sam 7th. These two are now on the same points in the Championship race with two rounds to go so expect a fight for 5th in the Championship.

Craig Robinson JSTGG was a fighting 11th.

GARY MacDONALD JSTGG was a solid second behind really ‘on-form’ Jack Shepperd who won. Gary really wants to win the Expert Title this year and now has a 16 point lead with two rounds to go which is nice…..still along way to go though Gary….keep pushingJ

RICKY WIGGINS ALBIONGG had his best BTC result of the year and finished a fine 4th!

GUY KENDREW GG also had his best BTC result of the year and WON the Expert B Class. WELL DONE!

CHRIS STAY JSTGG won the Youth class with his Team mate and friend George Gosden in 3rd. AceGG rider Tom Dexter was 4th,.

Thanks to Jack for being Jack!
