Scotland is the place to head to this weekend with the opening of the BobMacGregorTrialsAcademy. The venue is at Totherick Quarry, Dunlop, Ayrshire, KA3 4EH which is just south of Glasgow. The brains behind this venture is Ian Shankie, who has spent the last year bringing this venture to fruitition. Ian has spent a lot of time and energy putting something back into the sport by providing vital facilities for riders to be able to practice. At the same time Ian has been busy helping MRS to link up this venture with a very good dealer in Scotland - Mickey Oakes Motor Cycles. Grahame Ferguson sponsored Ian for many years with MX and he is now repaying the compliment by allowing any customer of Mickey Oakes to use the BobMacGregorAcademyPark.  All their customers can sign up each year to use the park as and when they want to. This is going to be such a big advantage for all the riders in Scotland. Ian has brought in past British Champion Graham Jarvis to make the sections and with Graham’s experience laying out last year’s World round you can guarantee the sections will be interesting! The famous ‘Killer’ Kendrew will be opening the park at 9-30 this Saturday, 13^th March. Malcolm and Rhoda Rathmell from MRS will be in attendance with their full range of 2T 2010 Sherco’s for customers with the 125, 250 and 290 models during the opening day on Saturday. Aside from this top Sherco factory rider Michael Brown and Graham will be running a trials school Saturday and Sunday and although Ian has many riders already for this anyone wanting to attend one of these days can contact Ian on 07831 681728.
