Alan Morewood update
Just ten weeks since Alan Morewood suffered a serious stroke and the former national sidecar trials champion is up on his feet, albeit with assistance. Alan is going through a normal physiotherapy programme associated with people who suffer paralysing strokes. His left arm and leg are as yet still not clear of the stroke but walking exercises and parallel bars activity will hasten recovery. His speech and comprehension faculties are almost back to normal. Alan has at present a short attention span, quite normal for any stroke victim but that will eventually get back to normal. The recovery period could be up to one year. His partner Doreen Noble is considering having ramps constructed at the couple's home to facilitate wheelchair access. Regular visitor and former passenger Phil Granby keeps Alan right up to date with world, British and local trials results on a weekly basis. In this action shot from 1968 he is passengerd by good friend Phil Granby in the 1968 Bemrose trial.
