New Gasser Raga... a looker

Must say that New Raga looks lovely... but it got me thinking. Ask anyone about it and the first comment is either "love the colours" or "the gold and black looks crap" !!
For the record i love the gold and black scheme but what i was wondering is what colour schemes do you think have been the best and worst released to the trials world. Also what colours would you like to see on next years bikes?

Some of the worst i remember are the original Aprilia climber in the two tone purple, also from around the same era we had the gold framed Beta zero. In fact a few Beta's over the years have been a bit dodgy on the colour front when i think about it... mostly using purple!! The bright green Italjet was a bit nasty as well..

.. on the plus side i thought the stripey Beta TR35 was nice, the GasGasuk team bike of a year or so ago with the white frame and white plastics, the 2010 TTT Beta, the white frame Bultaco 199b and the flat tanked works repsol Montesa's are good to look at. Obviously this years Evo is nice as well smile

... would like to see the Evo with black plastics and frame next year with orange and white graphics. smile

Is that a first for Renthal with trials to have there handlebars on a production trials machine? Maybe Montesa/Honda did it earlier with the Repsol Replica?

I have just seen my first Raga bike in the flesh, it looks so cool. It will be intresting to see if the new Ossa when it arrives can compete on looks alone.

Re: New Gasser Raga... a looker

Just rode our (GGUK) new 250 Raga demo bike today at cheadle staffs trial, it felt VERY good, noticably more stable when hopping the back end round due to being 12mm wider on the frame at the footrests. When riding round at home with no boots on ya can tell the airbox is slightly wider but soon got used to it and didn't even notice it by the end of the trial....Power is very smooth and very similer to the std 250. Quite a few people tried it after the trial and all felt the improvements were good....Bring on next weeks trials!!!

Hiya Kev.. i take it that frame on the new Raga will be used for all models next year? And the airbox size, is that because the new cross members of the frame required them to squash it out a bit to give the same air volume?

... whatever, it does look lovely.

Heath...

I pretty sure it started with Adam wanting the frame/airbox slightly wider where ya feet are so it is more stable when hopping round, in my view it has certainly worked, thats how they came up with the finished bike now. So far the airboxes have been muck free in testing as the air intake is pulled in upwards instead of from the front... Its also 10 times easier to get ya hand in to change the filter (even Shirty can do it with his big hands! smile )....

I think the 2011 will come with the frame/airbox/exhaust the same as the Raga, but no idea on any other spec wink
